Stick around read what I write or what I say on this website enough and you will learn that I highly revere those actors, actresses, and creators of Hollywood’s heyday. I would also contend that the actors and actresses of the 40s, 50s, and 60s had to do it all. Most of them where not pigeon0-holed into doing one thing well and that was it. Zooey Deschanel Triple Threat would have fit into that mold easily.
- New Girl – One of my favorite sitcoms on TV right now. We are always a season behind because we wait to binge it, but I really do love New Girl. Three guys pick up a female roommate (played by Deschanel) and hilarity ensues. Literally, hilarity ensues. The show is funny as hell. They are over the top and the character traits are a little bigger than they should be but such fun to watch.
- Yes Man – Solid Jim Carey movie in which Zoey Deschanel plays the female lead. Quirky and funny along with showing her musical talent. Yes Man is a solid flick.
- The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy – Love the book. The movie was… OK. Zoey Deschanel was perfect. Not Prefect that character was played by Mos Def.
- Elf – Potentially my second favorite Holiday movie. Maybe my first. At least in the top 5 for sure. She and Will Ferrell are endearing and fun to watch from beginning to end. I want a sequel of them in the North Pole together.
I don’t know why femininity should be associated with weakness. Women should be free to express who they are without thinking, ‘I need to act like a man, or I need to tone it down to be successful.’ That’s a very good way to keep women down.
