Aaron Eckhart

Born March 12, 1968

Aaron Eckhart was one of the bright points for me in The Dark Knight. And while I enjoyed Heath Ledger as a lone terrorist in that movie, I really dug Eckhart’s work in the film.

Noteworthy

  • Erin Brokovich – This was the first movie that I saw Eckhart in. He played the love interest and he was perfect in the role. I knew then that he was someone to watch.
  • The Dark Knight – If you have listened to our podcast, you know that I am not a huge fan of the Nolan-Verse Batman movies. The shining light of those three movies is The Dark Knight and in The Dark Knight, the shining light is Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart.
  • The Black Dahlia – While I did like the book better than the movie, this was a really good period crime drama. Josh Hartnett and Eckhart were great together and their on=screen chemistry was flawless.

I would love to get great performances from actors as a director, because that’s what I’m always looking for, a director that’s going to help me go places I’ve never been before.
